I would like to know how webanalysers find out which country/region a user is coming from. If they provide region info based on a particular Range of I.Ps, then Where can I get this database of which I.P range is allocated to which country or region. I already have a list of country codes with me , I can find the country name by finding out the hostname of the machine. This will work only if the I.P is assigned to a valid Internet Domain name. I would like to find the country a user is coming from, from his I.P that was assigned to him by his ISP or Proxy.
