Dear Tripat,
There are numerous distributions available and it is a matter of personal
choice which distribution you would like to have.
Personal experience says that try out each of the distributions and then as
per the amount of software that is available in each of these a choice can
be made.
I have used red hat and suse distributions. SuSe is far better than red hat
distributions but it is very particular about the hardware you have on your
system.

best of luck.

regards,
vikas.
