Hmmm, since I'm not a philosophy zealot/bigot, I now wonder if I'm really
missing out on something by not using the user-friendly (huh?) Microsloth
o.s. Most people, I guess, are conerned about their work, and about not
going home to their wives with a headache. And they dont give a damn to
GNU and RMS and whether or not they can read the kernel datastructures.
That statement of yours probably did a lot of damage to the Linux
aspirations of some manager out there. Now, if you dont care about whether
or not they use Linux, go get some caffeine and sink back into your Lisp,
I'll tell them why I use Linux.
So here's why --
Six consoles and unlimited xterms to work on!, bash, gcc, gdb, kdevelop,
rpm, xemacs, lynx, pine, wget, dict, xmms, kde, man, /usr/doc/.. and damn
it! xboing, gnuchess/xboard and samegame! And the fact that i got it all
when i booted my Linux for the first time. And the fact that it costs just
about as much money as i can afford to spend.
But wait before you cry sacrilege and jump on! I dont hate RMS, and I've
read and appreciated all of ESR and I do GPL what i write, but i aint ever
going to screw my productivity if it begins to suck. And I aint ever going
to shove it into anyone else's face ever just because its MY philosophy.

Hmmmm. Next time we meet, teach me how to make an xemacs clone. ;-)
Ok, all said and done, I think sending a .doc on here is rude. Big
deal! just made a mental note of how stupid people can get, and pressed a
'd'. Doesnt even deserve a flame! ;-) Chill, bud!
