All I know for sure is that most CD Drives can play stop skip etc on
their own without external hardware or software and that a cable goes
from the CDROM Drive to the soundcard and also that I can quit from any
audio CD player without necessarily stopping the CD from playing - most
players default to stopping the CD though.
