1. While shutting down my system (RH6.2), I get the following message:
device eth0 left promiscuos mode
Obviously system is running with eth0 in promiscuous mode, which I know is a
Security concern.
I have tried:
ifconfig -promisc eth0
but has not worked.
2. When I do an ifconfig, I get a "L A R G E" number on OVR, both RX and TX.
What is this Overrun all about? How does it affect the performance or is it
a spillover effect of the device running in promiscuous mode.
