[linux-delhi] core dumped error

hi friend,
i got one proble ... i installed jdk1.2.2 on my linux machine ... also set
path in profile ... when i run java or javac it gives me --------->
Segmentation fault (core dumped).

Kindly tell me the solution to avoide this also tell me the resone why it
occours,.........
