by allowing you to have virtual consoles, and other non network terminals
(e.g serial dumb terminals!) multiuser means that more than one person can
work on the system at the same time (e.g u can connect 2 serial port dumb
terminals, and 3 ppl can work on your linux box at the same time w/o using
telnet/ssh/rsh etc...)
