Hi,

I got it to work, but it was not easy. For some time I have had PPP running
just fine. So I decided to automate things a little and get diald to work.
While reading thru the diald.options file the first time, I came up with the
fact that the standard debian system does not contain a
"/etc/ppp/ppp-disconnect" file. Soem thinking about it and I replaced it
with poff. Unfortunately, diald just didn't seem to work. Then an
inspiration occured and I chanded the diald.options file to read as such;

#connect "/etc/diald/connect"
#disconnect "/etc/ppp/ppp-disconnect"
connect "/usr/bin/pon"
disconnect "/usr/bin/poff"

With these lines in place, diald works just fine, funny it wasn't mentioned
in any docs anywhere, or did I just miss it.

On the other hand, when my win95 station attaches to my linux server, it
dials in before completeing the connection. Not ideal and I think it mught
have something to do with host lookup.

Any ideas on this last problem?

Thanks,
Patrick
