Greetings. New to this mailing list, dug through the archives and did find some of the info I was looking for so... Southwestern Bell is offering a package called "Turbo Access". To quote "This package includes everything you need: a Basic Rate Interface (BRI) Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) line, a Terminal Adapter (ISDN modem-like device), the inside wiring and jacks plus installation of the Terminal Adapter and ISDN line." http://www.swbell.com/cgi-bin/page.exe?file=ProdOverview.html&PRODUCT_CODE_EQ=TA C&BACK_URL=Spotlight/Home.html&BACK_TEXT=Back_to_Southwestern_Bell_Home_Page The TA they are offering is the Adtran Express XRT terminal adapter. It is an external box that connects to PC COM port. Questions: Anyone have experience with the TA? Especially in conjunction with diald and Linux? If I recall correctly PC COM ports are only good for about 115 Kpbs - this is slower that a 128K ISDP line, espcially when running Stac LZS compression. Should I go with an internal ISDN TA?
