Greetings. New to this mailing list, dug through the archives and did find
some of the info I was looking for so...

Southwestern Bell is offering a package called "Turbo Access". To quote
"This package includes everything you need: a Basic Rate Interface (BRI)
Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) line, a Terminal Adapter (ISDN
modem-like device), the inside wiring and jacks plus installation of the
Terminal Adapter and ISDN line."

The TA they are offering is the Adtran Express XRT terminal adapter. It is
an external box that connects to PC COM port.

Questions:

Anyone have experience with the TA? Especially in conjunction with diald
and Linux?

If I recall correctly PC COM ports are only good for about 115 Kpbs - this
is slower that a 128K ISDP line, espcially when running Stac LZS
compression. Should I go with an internal ISDN TA?

Thanx!
