I am new to this so if this has been answered before please bear with me.
I have installed the diald rpm from redhat's contrib folder on my rh 5.1
system.
The ppp link works fine when I use network-scripts/ifup-ppp, but not if I
run diald and try to
initiate the connection by pinging a host.
With debuging on I can see that the chat script completes fine under diald,
but ppp is unable to
establish the connection. I am using the rh specific scripts provided in
the rpm to launch diald and
for the connect script.
