I had to get the diald.conf from someone's computer I was working on. Actually, I don't need to make a webpage out of this, this is all that I did in RedHat 5.1 Go into the control-panel (in xwindows), choose the networking icon, add a ppp device and use "pap" authentication. the ppp device should be called ppp0. Here is my diald.conf (I used the pre-made rpm for RedHat 5.1). I didn't change anything else. I don't think "pppd-options name mark" is needed. If someone still needs the configurations for RedHat's files in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts, let me know and I will get those also. If you can dial-in with the control-panel in RedHat 5.1 using ppp0, then use this diald.conf, and it should be okay and you shouldn't have to worry about RH files. # # diald.conf # accept any 420 any mode ppp device /dev/modem speed 115200 modem lock dynamic local 137.130.2.44 remote 137.130.1.14 pppd-options name mark up-delay 5 defaultroute crtscts connect "/usr/sbin/chat -f /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/chat-ppp0" redial-timeout 10 fifo /etc/diald/diald.ctl - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-diald" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
