I am new to this list and have just installed diald with the patch to 16.5.
I installed in its default configuration using the /etc/diald.conf and then
usr/lib/diald holds the other files. I created a diald.conf from the
examples in the docs. I can hear the modem initiate and call out but then
becomes disconnected after a minute or so. I thought I saw somewhere where
it logged to the /var/log/ppp.log so I can see what is going on however. I
can't find the ppp.log. The only other file I made changes to is the
connect file. belows is a copy of the diald.conf file and my connect file.
Also My end result once I accomplish getting one to dial is to get two
modems to connect so I can use the bandwith. If anyone has any experiece
with multilinking with linux could you please send me an email. I have a
couple of questions, my ultimate goal is, I have 3 computers and am trying
to use the linux box as my gateway to the internet for my computers. So I
am working on first getting the ppp conection situated.

connect is the standard connect except I did remember to change the user
and pass to my real ones. :>
