CCP is the Compression Control Protocol. It means the other
end isn't responding to your pppd's attempts to negotiate
bsdcomp, deflate, predictor1, stac or whatever other compressions
it has available to try. It will carry on uncompressed regardless.
If you put debug in your /etc/ppp/options file it will give you
all the tedious details :-).
