Diald uses absolute time (as opposed to intervals) in two cases:
1. When generating log or accounting messages. In this
case it uses the libc strftime() and asks for a 4 digit year.
I am not aware of any problems with strftime(). Since these
messages are only for user reference purposes anyway it probably
doesn't matter if they are wrong or not.
2. When checking "restrict" options. These are specified in a
loose format which does not allow years and which allows 1-31
days in every month. They are checked against the output of
a libc localtime() call. Again, I am not aware of any problems
with localtime().
