All I can think of is that 0.98.2 simply deleted routes to the
proxy interface whereas 0.98.3 deletes the address from the proxy.
(This is the Right Thing(tm) for 2.2 kernels apparently. Don't
blame me). If you are using dynamic addresses _and_ the address
you used for the proxy is not used on any of your other interfaces
_and_ your other systems are set to use this address as their
gateway you may conceivably have problems.
What interfaces have you got configured, what is the output
of "route -n" and are you running routed, gated or some other
routing daemon?
