Hi,
Does anyone else use Demon Internet as their ISP and connect using
the ISDN numbers? If so, are you experiencing any problems? Here's
the story:
When I got my ISDN TA in March I could connect 1st time every time. A
couple of weeks later I started getting NO CARRIER reports back from
my 3Com Impact II. This went on for about 2 weeks where I could only
connect approx 1 time out of 10 attempts. I tried dialling using a
Win95 PC with an internal ISDN card. This reported that the numbers
were engaged. I reported the problems to the help desk who said that
it was probably due to the increase in ISDN usage and that they were
planning to increase the number of receiving TAs.
Is anyone else having problems. I'm worried that I'm getting NO
CARRIER instead of BUSY reports from the Impact - I'm concerned that
I've made a configuration change that's started this off but I don't
think that I have.
My diald connect script cycles the 2 ISDN numbers and sometimes one
seems better than the other (and vice versa) which leads me to
suspect that is is congestion at demon.
Anyone had and similar experiences?
