I have a serious problem with my diald at home. When I used the
manual ppp commands in Redhat 5.1, everything worked fine.
Now I have diald running and on the first connection it hangs up and
dials again even though I am still on the network. After 4 to 5 dial
in connections, the full program hangs and I cannot use it unless I
reboot the machine! I have tried to stop it and start it with the
init.d script as well as the kill command. the only thing that works
is a restart.
This problem happens wether I am pinging the net, using Netsacape or
mail. I have not needed to ftp anything as sone as power up the
machine.
