Paul,
Have you put in dummy addresses? For some reason, the dynamic setup
requires a dummy local and remote address added to the diald.conf
file. On my system (which is identical to yours) I have the lines:
local 192.168.0.1
remote 192.168.0.2
to act as dummy placeholders.
See "man diald-examples" (about halfway down) for more details.
