I too have the same problem, I found a prebuilt rpm "daild-0.16-3" on the
redhat mirror site
ftp.wtfo.com
/pub/linux/redhat/contrib.redhat.com/libc6/alpha/diald-0.16-3.alpha.rpm
But after installing the program and creating my /etc/diald.conf file the
program core dumps each time a request for internet access is made.

I too would like to find a working copy for the Alpha

>warning: '#ifdef' argument starts with a digit" where 57 then becomes 64,
>669, 701, and 720, then "ppp.c:11: warning: '#ifdef' argument starts with a
>digit"
