Hi: I'm still figthing with my Linux 5.1 box and Diald. I have done the configuration for ppp0 and sl0 interfaces. I did it trhough the network configurator under Xwindows. If I activate the interface ppp0 my modem dials and connect to my ISP, the routes appear rigth under route. If I activate interface sl0 the modem dials but do not connect, I supose it is normal because my ISP just work with ppp. This events tell me that the chat program is running ok. I do not know if I have to use the script created through the Xwindows configurator to be used by Diald. If so ...where is located that script and which is its name ? If I try to start the diald (with the command diald diald.conf) I get a lot of messages such as ... diald[1057] up diald[1057] down diald[1057] flushfilters diald[1057] flushrules ... And nothing happens. I supose these are the neccesary commands to start the dial daemon, after that I should be able to bring the link up and down on demand. I say this because I do not see the dial daemon running on my machine (ps ax) Another question: Do I have to include the dns address and all the ip addresses on the hosts files on my Linux box ? Thank you for your help guys. Have a great week David - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-diald" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
