I setup diald to execute the /etc/ppp/ip-up script so I run the just linux
client from there. The only problem I ran into was it seemed to not work,
like I had never ran jlclient before (it would just output all the options,
as if I had specified an incorrect switch but I had specified none). In
the end I just specified every option in the command line instead of using
the .jldyndns file. The following line was added to /etc/ppp/ip-up

/bin/jlclient.pl -u --username=MyUserName --password=MyPasswd
--hostname=MyHostName.penguinpowered.com>/var/log/jlclient.log &

It works well for me and I am quite pleased with it.

One thing to note, I do not 'sign out' before I lose my connection, diald
keeps the connection up all the time for me and automatically redials on a
disconnection, so my dns is constantly being updated.

I hope that helps,

Marc
