Put
debug 1
in diald.conf and restart diald
or while diald is running
echo debug1 > /your-path/diald.ctl
Then
tail -f /var/log/messages
This is an example of a filtered out netbios dns request:
May 14 08:18:07 i3 diald[255]: filter ignored rule 33 proto 17 len 62 packet
192.168.1.113,137 => 194.243.154.62,53
The relevant parts are: "ignored" (filtered out), ",137" (netbios port) ,
",53" (dns port).
