Hello all,
Well things are finally looking up with my network. The problem with lost
access of the local eternet was due to the fact I was running RH5.2. The
problem was described in a message from Ekkehard Hoffmann (very many
thanks :-) that he sent on 12 Jun. This fix was installed in 0.99.1 and
works just fine!
Now for my final problem. I have two networks connected via a "router" system.
I can get out on the one network just fine, but can't get to the other.
Here is a diagram of the configuration (all address are 192.168.x.x):
-------
|One |
|of | 1.120
|many |--------------------------+----> to other systems (192.168.1.x)
|Win95| |
| boxs| | 1.1

| |--------------------------+--------------|Diald|---Modem / Inet
|Linux| | |Linux|
| box | V | box |
------- to other systems -------
(192.168.0.x)
What works:
the win box can ping any system EXCEPT the diald box.
any system on the 192.168.0.x net can get out.
With tcpdump, I do not see any icmp replys coming from the diald box when
I ping from the 192.168.1.x net.
Here is the netstat -nr output:

Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
