But this has the effect that local mail won't be delivered immediately if I 
remember correctly.
Anyway it's better not to hand edit the sendmail.cf file. Find the 
corresponding m4 source and modify it.
When I was still using sendmail I used the configuration available at 
http://olivetti.cjb.net/diald-win-e.html and had no spurious calls.
Don't know if it works with current versions of sendmail.
I'm now using qmail (http://www.qmail.org) with the holdremote patch (listed 
at the qmail page) and I'm an happier man ;-)
