Hi Guys
I am a new user to linux and I just learn as I go along. I am
Running RH 6.0 and the diald-0_16_5-201_i386.rpm version of diald. It installs
and i edit the diald.conf file and use the default connect script. But when i
try ping something nothing happens it just sits, and this appears in my
log.
Jul 19 22:27:00 orion diald[343]: Running connect (pid =
560).
Jul 19 22:27:00 orion diald[343]: Connect script failed. Jul 19 22:27:02 orion diald[343]: Delaying 30 seconds before clear to dial. Jul 19 22:27:34 orion diald[343]: Running connect (pid = 582). Jul 19 22:27:34 orion diald[343]: Connect script failed. Jul 19 22:27:36 orion diald[343]: Delaying 30 seconds before clear to dial. This repeats again and again. At work we have RH 5.2 and Diald with Ip Masq set up, I thought as I use the same Isp as work does i could try to use their diald.conf file and connect file. All i changed was the port/username/password. But still nothing. In the docs it says u need to have a working PPP connection, But at work there is none? I am a little lost. As i have tried with a PPP interface and with out one and still no luck. Any help would be apprecaited. Thanks Matt |
