i've set up a couple dial-out/dial-in sites, and i find the easiest way
(ever since diald started supporting UUCP-style locks) is diald for
dialout and mgetty->shell->ppp for dial-in. see the PPP-HOWTO for a
pretty good walk through on setting up the dial-in.
