Yes to both.  Though you do need to set some stuff up.

There have been reports with earlier 2.2.x versions.  I haven't seen it
myself in RH6 (2.2.5) or later kernel builds.

BTW don't upgrade to kernel 2.2.11 either get the new 2.2.12 or stop at
2.2.10 (many of the bug fixes in 2.2.11 created problems of their own).
