Hi-
My initial message seemed to get relayed ok so I will explain my setup
and problem.

Win98 box through a network to Linux box.

On Linux box I ifup ppp0 and my modem connects to my isp and I can then
surf the web or do mail and newsgroups from my Win98 box. When I'm done I
ifdown ppp0 from the Linux console and all is done.

diald seems like a logical way to go for my particular situation.

In looking at different sites there is different versions of diald, ranging
from 016.5-20 to 0.99.1.

Most if not all the documentation is for 0.16

I really don't know what way to turn insofar as which version to use. If I
use the 0.16 docs, I really don't know if it applies to 0.99

I don't even know how to compile the tar.gz versions although I did manage
to uncompress them today. I also installed the Make rpm from the RH6.0 CD.
Don't know if I need a C compiler or not. Seems like a complicated process
just to install diald let alone set diald up correctly.

So if there is someone that can point me in a direction I would be grateful.
