Well I got my diald working what seems correctly. But I got a off topic
question now, since everyone on the list seems pretty knowledgeable about
Linux in general.

The problem is that I had this "mud" that USED to compile on a previous
linux slakware installation I had about a year ago, but now it has a problem
with the function "crypt".

I included the include files from /usr/include (I think that's right). The
two I tried including were crypt.h and unistd.h. Now I have NO idea why
this function won't work, I read the manual page on crypt, and I just can't
figure it out. Keeps telling me "undefined referecnes to crypt" at so and
so line in so and so file.

I tried updating my glibc libraries, and some other stuff, but it still
doesn't work. So any ideas?

PS. I downloaded other muds and tried them....they had the EXACT same
problems with crypt..so Im pretty certain it's a include file problem or
location of the include files that Im not seeing.
