Hi,
I had the same problem a time ago. I found two solutions:
Solution 1:
Disable ethertap support by changing your conf.modules file:
alias tap0 off
alias tap1 off
...
alias tap15 off
Diald then falls back to the old slip proxy.
Solution 2:
Put "-daemon" in your diald.conf file. With this set, Diald won't
run as a daemon and will be able to use the tap's.
I'm currently using solution number two.
