I'm running diald 0.99-1 on RH 5.2 with a dynamic IP. When I send mail locally, some process (presumably sendmail) does a reverse lookup of the fake "local" address that diald assigns to the SLIP device. This was causing a dialout until I put this address into my /etc/hosts. Is there a better way to fix this (other than getting a static IP)?
