I'm attempting to run diald 0.99 on 2.2.9 over a PPP connection
I've tried to run without ethertap and I've tried to run with ethertap.
I've tried Edg's patch.
I think I've tried everything but an exorcism

Like everyone else pppd work fine if I bring it up by hand.
One thing that I note is that duplicate route entries get added to the
routing table for the sl0 or tap0 interface.
I'm not sure that this will cause a problem but I belive it is sub-optimal
and could cause problems in the future.

The attached file is what I get in /var/adm/messages.

Where am I going wrong.
