Diald and Kernel 2.2.13

[Gerald Walls]

I'm about to compile and install the 2.2.13 kernel.  I seem to remember
reading here that diald has some problems with later 2.2.x kernels.  Can
someone refresh my memory on what these problems are and on their solutions?
