I am try to set up diald 0.99 under Mandrake 6.1, to trigger on news server requests. Once diald has brought the link up, either from normal traffic or forcing the link up with dctrl, it will maintain the link with news traffic, but will not trigger. I have read all the man pages for diald and have not found any reference to nntp data. Is there a reason for nntp to not be part of the rule set in standard.filter? Or am I looking for the wrong type of data? nntp is listed in /etc/services as: nntp 119/tcp readnews untp I have tried adding these to standard.filter: accept udp 30 udp.dest=udp.nntp accept udp 30 udp.source=udp.nntp also I tried these, with and without the above two, to no avail. accept tcp 30 tcp.dest=tcp.nntp accept tcp 30 tcp.source=tcp.nntp Has anyone gotten news server requests to trigger diald, if so can you let me know how you got this to work? Any help is appreciated. Wes Cairns - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-diald" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
