I upgraded to RH6.1 a couple of weeks ago and diald stopped working.
After seeing discussion of the "noauth" issue, I added noauth to the
pppoptions in "/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/diald-up". Diald now
brings up the ppp link but fails to set the proper routes.
Also: where can I download the latest diald? The new homepage says
downloads have been disabled due to high traffic???
The following error messages appear in /var/log/messages
Nov 25 16:37:55 outpost diald[590]: start ppp0: SIOCSIFMETRIC: Operation not supported
Nov 25 16:37:55 outpost diald[590]: start ppp0: RTNETLINK answers: File exists
Nov 25 16:37:55 outpost diald[590]: start ppp0: RTNETLINK answers: File exists
Nov 25 16:38:21 outpost pppd[851]: CCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
I used the following configuration rpms:
diald-config-1.2.1-1.noarch.rpm
diald-config-unmetered-0.2-2.noarch.rpm
