Strictly speaking the job was to keep the systems on the other side
of the connections happy. The fact that there were connections was
a means to an end :-).

You could say that :-). The new job is for a company called PCSat
and I guess I won't be giving too much away if I say it involves
PCs and satellites (and Linux of course). There is a new version
of diald in the pipeline. It would have been on the web site
before I changed jobs but you lot aren't the only ones that don't
have access any more (it would have been nice to have been _told_).
I need to sort out a new web/ftp site for diald. In the meantime
I'll probably post the next diald to the list unless anyone complains
loudly and vociferously first.

P.S. Yeah this thinkpad has Windows as well as Linux. But the built
in modem is software driven. No, I didn't choose this laptop. It's
the "company standard".
