Could anybody with a working diald setup send me a sample of their network files as well as their diald files? (Such as route.conf, resolve.conf, diald.conf, their PPP connect file...) The reason is because i keep on getting the message... ping: sendto: Network is unreachable whenever i try to ping outside. Although diald seems to dial out fine. However it doesnt seem to set my default route (as in netstat -rn) to the IP sent by my ISP so i'm wondering what could be causing this issue. I'm not doing anything clever/fancy, just using a modified version of the connect script that comes with diald and i *am* logging unto my ISP's network. The default entry in the routing table is just not being set when i dial out. It is set when using wvdial though. I've even tried using wvdial with diald, via the connect option, and although i still get connected to my ISP i'm still having the error shown above. Yes i have a network and i have compiled all the required stuff either into the kernel or as modules (Masquerading and all that...). I'm really in a rut here as i can't even concentrate on any other thing until this is solved. Help!! -- Well i know we're dying and there's no sign of a parachute...
