Yes, i fixed this problem. I altered the ip-up/ip-down files in /etc/ppp. It
seems that diald called these files with the 'wrong' arguments. So i had to
change the arguments the files were expecting and added the command that adds
the received local IP from my ISP (which was passed as an argument to
ip-up/ip-down) as the default.
I've never had to do this before and it seems no-one seems to have that
problem either so i feel slightly uneasy doing it....but it works now. I also
altered ip-down to remove the default route so that fixes that.
Weird though...
