After about a week of running into virtually every little bug of diald known to
mankind, I finally have it working perfectly! :-)
I am running RH 6.1 w/ diald 0.99-1 and IP MASQ to my ISP (Mindspring), all is
well except I cannot seem to figure out the damn restrict/or-restrict/up/down
command structure for the life of me. Perhaps my brain is just fried from
everything else I have encountered... What I am trying to do is this:
I need to bring the link up and force it to stay up from the hours of 17:00 to
03:00 in the morning. At 03:00 I want the link brought down (not just left to
time out, but to be brought down), but in a state where on-demand dialing still
works. It should stay in this state until the link is forced up again at 17:00
later in the day. Any help would be greatly appreciated! And yes, I have read
the manual, manual-examples, and virtually every news group posting.. just don't
seem to get it, I guess! :-(
