I have monitored the diald mailing list for 5 weeks now and haven't seen this question
yet.

I'm a beginning linux user who uses a standalone machine and was wondering if my
kernel routing is correct...

[rob@Tred rob]$ netstat -i
Kernel Interface table
Iface MTU Met RX-OK RX-ERR RX-DRP RX-OVR TX-OK TX-ERR TX-DRP TX-OVR Flg
lo 3924 0 47320 0 0 0 47320 0 0 0 LRU
ppp0 512 0 1936 1 0 0 1810 0 0 0 OPRU

[rob@Tred rob]$ route

default * 0.0.0.0 U 0 0 0 ppp0
default * 0.0.0.0 U 1 0 0 sl0

Is this the way it should look? It works ok but seems a little slow. I only have one
network device which is a modem, and my isp only supports 512 byte packets
I like to use diald to maintain a 24 hour connection to my isp, which it dose very
well.
Please let me know if you spot anything incorrect.
Thanks rob
