I noticed that the connection that brought up diald would often die.
I also noticed REJECT messages for tap0 in my logs. I thought that
the routing wasn't catching up to the changes in my firewall. Just
today I noticed that the rejected packets were from the _input_ chain!
Apparently these are the packets diald buffered while the link was
coming up. I rewrote my firewall rules to accept packets coming in
from tap0 (with a source address from my LAN). Now the connection
that brings up the link doesn't die.
