http://diald.sourceforge.net grab diald version 0.99.4. Your configuration
files will most likely work without changes. The only difficulty is that
the default configuration file changed names. (it's now /etc/diald.conf)
using the '-f <filename>' switch on the command line to start diald will
take care of that though. [for example: '/usr/sbin/diald -f
/etc/diald/diald.options']
If you'd rather remain in the 0.16 series, you really should jump to 0.16.5
there were many bug fixes.
Actually I'm amazed 0.16 works. (I never managed a successful connection
without adding patches until 0.16.3)
