i would have thought the simplest solution would be to dial into the ISP
manually, using minicom or even (gasp!) HyperTerminal if you have a
WinBox handy (unless you've burned all your M$ stuff or something ;)
that way you can see _exactly_ what your ISP says and wants to hear --
connection scripts are many and varied!
