Reading your log it seems that you have a "chat" problem, not a
"diald" problem.
It seems that between "CONNECT" and "Login:" there is a delay of
6 seconds, but your timeout is 5. After that it seems that the
prompt "assword:" doesn't arrive. May be your provider has
changed login procedure or response timing. Try a manual
connection with minicom and chek what happen.
By the way to make diald more verbose add "debug 93" to
diald.options, but you better investigate on chat!
