Hi, I am new to this mailing list. Lately, I am trying to make diald (0.99x) to work with PPPoE client (which runs in user space) but without much success. I have setup "debug verbose" in diald.conf and the /var/log/messages shown that there are always 2 errors while attempting to open the "eth1" device (1st one is invalid argument, 2nd one is invalid address ?). After these errors occur, the disconnect script will be triggered to terminate the link (which is never up). Then shortly later, the pppd link will go up - probably due to the connect script that is running in the background. The link and defaultroute work but the link will not disconnect. The info described in contrib/isdn4linux does not seem to apply to PPPoE. Has anyone successfully made diald work with PPPoE ?
