Hi I can get diald to ring my isp and I can ping the isp from any machine on my lan, however I can only get it to ping, the browser doesn't seem to notice the open connection, and even after pinging away merrily, diald will close the connection after the connect timeout expires. Used on it's own (i.e. without diald) my chat script works fine. What could be the problem? Could it be something in my diald.conf file? device /dev/ttyS0 accounting-log /var/log/diald.log mode ppp local 192.168.0.9 remote 192.168.0.8 dynamic two-way reroute defaultroute connect "/etc/diald/ppp-up" modem crtscts speed 115200 connect-timeout 120 redial-timeout 60 start-pppd-timeout 120 died-retry-count 0 redial-backoff-start 4 redial-backoff-limit 300 dial-fail-limit 10 include /etc/diald/standard.filter (I have made an extra folder /etc/diald which contains a copy of the chat sctipt, the standard.filter (unchanged) and the diald.defs (also unchanged)) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
