Hi,
Another thing to watch out for: my ISDN TA by default does some automatic
PAP/CHAP conversion magic, presumably to help a lesser OS that can't handle
CHAP; as a result my linux box would fail to connect to BT Internet (a
British ISP, which requires CHAP) until I disabled this feature.
I have a ZyXel Omni.net Plus ISDN TA, I don't know if this feature is
standard for other TAs?

Subject: Upgrade to ISDN
Hi there,
I have been using diald with modems with no problem since version 0.16.5
then 0.99.2 then 0.99.4.
I am using slackware 7.0 kernel v.2.2.13
However, due to the slow access speed, I decided to change to ISDN access
using EICON DIVA T/A Modem
I tried my luck to change the modem and nothing else. Of course it didn't
work.
Anyone have a similar setup before? Converting from a analog to ISDN dialup?
I searched all over the WEB and found a lot of links to ISDN but I tried
some of them and it's not working.
Know any good how-to/write-up/tutorial on ISDN with diald?
I used minicom and try to connect manually, it stops after the ''CONNECT"
string.
I tried diald, it says connect script failed.
I used the manual pppd (the default ppp-go and ppp-off) and here is my log.
