You can cut the recordings using VDR directly. Have a look at the MANUAL how
it works. The resulting file can then be converted to an MPEG program
stream. This currently works best with PVAStrumento under Windows
(http://www.offeryn.de). If you use mplex from the DVB driver, audio and
video will not be in sync throughout the file.
