grep -e dvb: messages shows the usual messages, but no single
"ircommand".
the remote control works with the windows TT-soft.
(via internal connector as well as via cam)
driver is from 17.8.
so the problem was likely not your broken cam-IR, but something else
(well, at least in my case)
