I'm new to this forum, so I dont know if this topic already was
discussed:
Im using the Siemens DVB-C (CA-Modul, AlphaCrypt) on SuSE 7.2 (kernel
2.4.8).
Software packages: siemens_dvb-0.9-20010822, vdr-093
As soon as I plug in the AlphaCrypt and start the driver I get an error
message:
"dvb0: AV7111 -firm f0240009 rtsl b0250018 vid71010068 app 00010002
dvb0: ARM crashed"
Possible reasons (IMHO):
1.) The firmware may be outdated (how does firmware-update work in
general?)
2.) The siemens_dvb does not yet support AlphaCrypt (are there plans to
do so?)
(Is Irdeto 4.6/4.7 supported?)
3.) AlphaCrypt Modul is faulty
Any ideas??
BTW: any recommendations for an ATAPI-DVD that works fine with
libdvdread?
Can I in general software-switch region codes?
(my "old" one says GetTitleKey: Error, I think its hardware
dependend)
